Bankers: Predators

8 FOR ME, 1 FOR YOU

Alas, suspicions are being confirmed that banking and finance are societal predators feasting on the productivity of others. It is a mix of gullible, naive, and/or corrupt masses who wait for that piece of food to be thrown over the side of the grand dinner table, which entertains the fat cats, while they feast up the productivity of the masses.

As the article points out it is the top 1% that are liabilities while the bottom 20% are the real producers of the economy. As I've asked before, without the cleaners, manual laborers, gardeners, waiters, cooks, cashiers, what would the quality of life be for the rest of us 80%?

Afghanistan: Bank Money Looted says Abdul Qadir Fitrat

IS IT ANY DIFFERENT HERE?

OMG! The money is Afghanistan has been looted! Come on, is it really a surprise? Abdul Qadir Fitrat, the Afghan central bank governor (their Ben Bernake), reports first hand of the malfeasance. Let's just say for Abdul to get to where he was, he was not an innocent lamb as self-portrayed. However, kudos for him for coming out.

Crooked businessmen and politicians operating in the dark with access to what is supposd to be the public's money, safely secured in a bank vault. Instead, it's liable to become a personal laundering fund for those in power that deem it to be theirs. Your deposit becomes the bank's money, and for whoever owns the banks or has access to them, it becomes their money. This is how banks end up having no money.

US banks dabbling in mortgage securities, CDOs, and derivatives. In India, the state run bank which is also the largest bank in India, SBI, annually forgives loans to large corporates, industry magnates, politicians, and others in high places. Money laundering and theft comes in many different flavors. Who's really in control? Are there any barriers and regulations? And if the light gets shined, will the money actually be there as said?

Inflation is the barometer of the amount of corruption in any country. High inflation just means larger amounts of money have been looted.

Max Keiser visits a bailed out Ireland

POTATO FAMINE - DE JA VU?

So if the people cannot pay back their loan, they go to debtor prison in Ireland. Three points I'd like to make:

1) If you are liable to go to prison, why did you take up a loan you could not or did not want to pay back?
2) If the bankers or the property developers cannot pay back their loans, shouldn't they be the ones going to debtor prison? Why the bailout?
3) Why do people wait until things affect them personally? Can't people think in the abstract?

Barclays - A honest commercial

TAKE THE BLUE PILL

Here's a honest commercial of Barclays and Wall Street's activities and behavior (aka smoke and mirrors). It's a honest depiction up til near the end. Hahahaa!

Oh yes, that guy coming out at the end is there to help you, not himself!

I've decided against the iframe for the time being since it starts the videos in the lowest resolution.

Max Keiser with Damon Vrabel - Banking Cartel - 07-09-2010

THE REAL ENEMY WITHIN

West Point graduate Damon Vrabel discusses the corporate empire with Max Keiser. Everyone is a subject, a slave of the banking cartel. It's come down to people needing to depend on JP Morgan just to eat. War benefits the banking cartel because they issue the debt to governments plus they own large portions of corporations that benefit from resource extraction.

Damon Vrabel is the founder of csper.org and his blog is csper.wordpress.com.

William K. Black scolds Congress 04-20-2010

FINALLY A BREATH OF FRESH AIR!

Here's William K. Black testifying in front of Congress, more specifically the House Finance Service hearing on Lehman Brothers failure.

Let's pray Mr. Black gets some teeth to go after these guys. It'll be quite a show to see all these guys guys, one after another, go to Club Fed.

Bill Moyers interviews William K. Black 03-23-2010

Sorry guys about the lack of blog posts. It'll probably be trickles from here on for awhile. The job's taking a lot of my time. You now how it is.

In the meanwhile, to keep you guys entertained and informed, let me refer you to Max Keiser and their comments feed. I get a lot of my links that I post here from Max's comment section. It's quite lively and quite hard to keep up with! I must say it's all the info you will ever need. Another recommendation is the Disquiet Reservations blog.

Anyways.. Onto to Bill Moyer's (2nd) last interview which is with William K. Black. Mr. Black's been there on Bill Moyer's program before. He had that blockbuster interview that really shed light on the banking fraud. This interview also sheds some light on some of the recent events in the news such as the "show" hearings by Congress where they ask bank executives some tough questions.

I must say, we must get William K. Black into a position where he can start going after these crooks and shut their operations down. He put over a 1000 bankers in jail during that S&L fiasco. This time around it should be at least 10x that much. Round up those paddy wagons! Demand Congress give William K. Black the ammo he needs to go after the crooks!

Reverand Billy arrested during Chase mountaintop removal protest

Sorry guys, I just haven't had the time to do any postings. I am completely backlogged with things I want to post. i promise to post them this week. Anyways, here a quick video of Reverend Billy being arrested for putting dirt in Chase's ATM lobby. The protest is over funding of mountaintop mining which destroys the environment by shaving off the tops of hills and filling the bottom with the debris. it essentially flattens terrain and destroys the existence of streams below.

Reverand Billy (his organization being The Church of Life After Shopping), whose real name is Bill Talen, joined forces with Morgan Spurlock (remember Super Size Me)to make the movie Would Jesus Buy?

Janet Tavakoli: Ponzi Scheme Profits by Wall Street Banks

After watching Janet Tavakoli, there should be no doubt this was a premeditated plan by Wall Street banks to rob the public. It was not a mistake and did not take place by chance. Please watch the last video which is 60 minutes long that explains a lot more in detail.

Take it from the horses mouth. Janet Tavakoli still works for Wall Street arbitrating conflicts and distrust between the big banks and their contract counterparties.

Janet Tavakoli summary:
There was no black swan. It wasn't a subprime problem. It was a ponzi scheme by Wall Street bankers brought upon the American public. They created financial meth lab that were value destroying securizations. We're bailing out A LOT of bad guys. Wall Street thinks they can get away because the public can't follow the scheme.

Nassim Taleb schools Congress

There's something funny about his clip that cracks me up. Is it the blank faces of Congress or that stubbornness that kicks in later which will ignore Nassim Taleb's precious advice that get to me, I don't know?

Michael Hudson: How Europe scammed Latvia

There was a plan in place by Western Europe to fleece Latvia. Michael Hudson details how they did it through a flat tax policy and having the banks be the central planners. The plan was to take any disposable income from Latvians and transfer to the Western banks. Latvians thought their standard of living would increase after adopting ideas and plans from the Central European Committees but all they got was colonization. Suffering is not crises. Crises happens when people wake up, fight back, and expect change for the better to occur.

William K. Black: The Great American Bank Robbery 06-11-2009

Here's a great lecture and a long Q&A session with Willian K. Black.

William K. Black, the former litigation director of the Federal Home Loan Bank Board who investigated the Savings and Loan disaster of the 1980s, discusses the latest scandal in which a single bank, IndyMac, lost more money than was lost during the entire Savings and Loan crisis. He will examine the political failure behind this economic disaster, in which not only massive fraud has taken place, but a vast transfer of wealth from the poor and middle class continues as the federal government bails out the seemingly reckless, if not the criminal. Black teaches economics and law at the University of Missouri, Kansas City and is the author of The Best Way to Rob a Bank Is to Own One.

Banks defrauded themselves

That's amazing! What's amazing? The LA Times has the capability to do some investigation and analysis.

"The banks were "enablers that bankrolled the type of lending threatening the international financial system," according to the study being released today by the Center for Public Integrity, a Washington-based watchdog group.

"What happened to our largest financial institutions was very much a self-inflicted wound," said the center's executive director, Bill Buzenberg. "These banks owned many of the subprime lenders and financed their lending in order to get bundles of mortgage-backed securities that they could sell, reaping enormous profits."

The report noted that investment banks Lehman Bros., Merrill Lynch, J.P. Morgan and Citigroup "both owned and financed subprime lenders," and that others, including Goldman Sachs & Co. and Swiss bank Credit Suisse First Boston, were major financial backers of subprime lenders.

"It has a history," Davis said. "Subprime was driven by greed and big commissions, rather than by customer relationships." Another problem, Davis said, was that California and most other states have relatively weak supervision of mortgage lenders, which are not regulated like banks."
