There's nothing more valuable than freedom. It provides the openness to think, to pursue, and to act on whatever whims one may happen to manifest. With freedom comes everything else, even money. However, people would rather favor and protect their money interests, not freedom.

PS: if you want to experience the 4th Reich, visit Disneyland or Disney World. Feel the intricacies of fascism as a system in action. It includes a timely schedule, low paid workers, high prices on everything and everything done with a forced smile. The system takes priority over individualism.

Thomas Sheridan tears apart the 1966 movie Fahrenheit 451. Even then, the director François Truffaut knew what was REALLY going on. Whether it was happening then (it probably was) or it was a prediction of the future, the present is most certainly binds to the paradigm as depicted in the movie. Instead of me blabbering on, let's just watch it...

Gravity: Movie Review

CHEESY

Where are the laws of gravity at the box office??? The movie should've been a bust. Gravity sucked!! I want my money back!

Couldn't stand Goerge Clooney the douchebag and Ms. sob story when she could be figuring a way out. If I were up there I would've cut their tethers a long time ago.

And who are they talking to? Mission control is long gone. I guess this movie brainwashes you into thinking that you must always operate under the influence of the government. Let them know and get their permission first!

Plus the graphics were so cheeeeesy low res (they were blurry). The only time it was sharp was when she landed on the beach at the end. Btw, it's not over there. She'll still need to be rescued from the island!

And the physics and scientific rules were all broken and hollywoodized and the lack of scientific knowledge by the public.. well they bought the whole thing hook line and sinker. It'll create perceptions that are just not true much like what Jaws did to sharks.

The hoopla and good reviews by others is what made me waste my $19 at the imax 3d. Do NOT ENCOURAGE CRAPPY MOVIES! I give it a 5/10.

Alice in Wonderland 2010

WONDERFUL

What an amazingly immersive movie! I watch this movie a couple of weeks ago (ya I torrented a Bluray) and it was magical! No wonder it made $100 million off of a $20 million dollar production. It takes you into a surreal imaginary world and wraps you right into it.

I really like the Mad Hatter. The background is this: from people went mad from making hats in factories and succumbed to mercury poisoning. The factory owners knew this but kept this from the public and workers for many decades and the practice went on.

As for the purpose of the original Alice in Wonderland... It was to show how absurd it was for one person to have the power to chop off another person's head. And in the end it shows authority has no power if you do not lend your attention and support to it.

Get it on Bluray to get the best of the graphics!

RIP: Leslie Nielson at 84

Leslie Nielson passes away at age 84 from pneumonia complications.

Leslie Nielson's comedy will be sorely missed. I remember laughing like crazy in the movie theater at the hi-jinx in The Naked Gun. I had never run into comedy like that before.

Gentleman Leslie probably created havoc in his hospital room, one can only guess.

If Phil Donahue ever does SNL, an imitation of Leslie Nielson should be in the cards.

Here's a song appropriate for the anniversary of 9/11 and all the hatred and self destruction that came out of it.

Hot heads needed to be cooled. Time was needed to figure out why it happened. Why did it happen? What was the motive? How could it be fixed? None of these questions wanted to be asked. The real culprits got away scott free and nothing was learned or gained from the event.

Kashmir.. A land gripped by war and violence from Pakistani extremists on one side and a stubborn, cruel Indian military on the other. Pakistan has taken control of the western part of the disputed territory. China has encroached from the north and east. The question remains. What defines Kashmir and do Kashmiris want to become independent or remain part of India?

Here's another song from the movie Mujhse Shaadi Karogi. Sonny (the anti-cupid), once again, drops into the New Years celebration to interrupt the relationship to spite Sameer and Rani near the end of the song. Sameer and eventually marry however!

Taal se Taal Mila from the movie Taal

Another music gem from Bollywood. This time it's the song Taal se Taal Mila from the movie Taal. A much younger Aishwarya Rai (She was in the Guru song) stars in this one. The song is written by A.R. Rahman (the guy who wrote the music to Slumlord Millionaire). He's also written some of the other songs presented on this blog such as Tere Bina from Guru, Saathiya, and a few more that I'll be posting from the movies Rang De Basanti and Lagaan. I believe these songs better represent his talents than Jai Ho from Slumdog Millionare, which got worldwide recognition, but, I feel, is not quite as good as his songs which I've shown on this blog.

This artistic visuals aren't as great as the audio in this video. Enjoy the music.

Sorry about the lack of posts. My interest in blogging has faded. Plus I have spent a lot more time outdoors. It's been a good break from the online world for me. People should be exercising at least one hour a day. Two hours seems to hit the spot for me.

Kal Ho Naa Ho: A Sad Song

Well here it is after promising to post it a week ago (was it two?).. ]:-)

Kal Ho Naa Ho, the movie, was shot on location in New York. It stars Sharukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan, and Preity Zinta. The main character has a terminal illness, and hence decides he cannot marry the gal he's fallen in love with. She eventually marries someone else, and he's around to see this happen.

In the song, he sings about life, destiny, and taking advantage of opportunity whilst one has it.

Song starts at 7:08 and is split into two videos. Subtitles are once again ahead by about 5 seconds.
